I had a moment today during class about noon, where I stood back from the computer and I marveled at how much this felt like the usual summer video production class in the big film room. We have that Greenhill adage that we're not buildings, we're people. Man, that hit home again today. The counsellors led a hungry group of makers in link show and tells, and breakout groups. Some students just want me to be quiet and unleash them. Some students are feeling a little less sure about what they are going to make and how they are going to proceed. Both of the feelings are 100% normal and valid. Tuesday morning we will start the day hearing what people are thinking about with groups and materials. Groups will really form for Week 1 tomorrow. I promise if a student is feeling unsure right now they will not feel that way as much tomorrow and the next day. Based on the energy today, I'm very much looking forward to the rest of these two weeks. Go team.
