We're in May!

The lake looks amazing. Honeysuckle and fresh green leaves. Birds calling. I wish we were setting up shots and painting over there right now! Some questions that I have gotten: Yes, I am teaching both the film class and the painting class. My background is being the odd filmmaker housed in the BFA and MFA painting programs at SMU and Yale. Everything starts with drawing for me, but goes from there into lots of different media. Right now the only dates I am teaching this summer are Film from June 7-11, and Painting from June 14-18, but if a group can get dates together later in the summer we can talk. We live on the east side of White Rock Lake, a 3 minute walk from the Bath House Cultural Center. The cost for each class is $500. The morning light has been amazing so one of the painting days I am proposing meeting at sunrise to have one long day of painting. I think it is just too nice of a view to miss. For both classes everything is provided. Here are some quotes about the film class from some of last years students.

"A unique aspect of Mr. Doyle's camp is the bonding experience with other peers. It doesn't matter what age or grade you are in, your ideas are heard and much appreciated." BW

"The setting of the camp, White Rock Lake, is a unique aspect to the camp's limitless potential." BW

“This camp is a great opportunity to make some films, learn more about filmmaking, and have fun at the same time. As an added bonus, if you choose to take any of Mr. Doyle’s electives next year, you’ll be the star of the class!” AY

"Exactly what I wanted in a summer program; having fun but learning a new skill at the same time." SC

"In this camp, you’ll laugh for a week, make a few fun videos, learn all about the filmmaking process, and then laugh some more!" AY
