What a run, what a run!
More of an all out sprint actually.
Everyone should be very tired, but very fulfilled.
A lot of editing today and picking up last shots. A lot of making deals. A lot of work.
We had a great two weeks in 2021.
So happy to be safe yet be in person.
Thank you all for all of your dedication and hard work!

A lot of editing happened today!
The last few shots were picked up.
Tomorrow they finalize edits until about 12:30, then export and clean up.
At the end of the day we meet in Rose Hall to watch the films from this week and celebrate their work.
EVERYONE should be very tired after today.
We had lots of activity on the Rose Hall stage with involved lighting cues. We had frogs getting dragged in the mud. (people as frogs, no animals harmed in the making of this short) We had fake police on scooters. We had eye makeup. We had drone shots. We had Grundina of the Earth People!
Tomorrow is mainly editing and picking up any shots we need as we work this process.
I think all of our pace and work yesterday paid off today.
Groups were really producing.
Students should be tired.
Wednesday we finish all production and begin editing.

It's was pouring rain today. The gates wouldn't open on Hornet Rd. this morning. I was scared it was going to be one of those days today. Wonderfully it was not!
The counselors and I decided last Saturday at the end of Week 1 to try to condense Days 1 and 2 together this week to enable more time for production. So I came in today with a list of prompts for stories. The students took these ideas and ran with them. We we left today we had formed eight production groups who all had cameras in their hands so they can start shooting films tomorrow instead of Wednesday.
I'm very happy with their progress.

Here are links for the current versions of the nine short films produced this week. It's great to look back to Tuesday morning and think of many of these students not knowing each other, and five days later they have versions of stories up to watch.
We'll take some time next week to give them some notes about the goods from the films and the things to work on as well.
Monday we'll start a new week with fresh prompts.
It will be a lot of fun. Enjoy watching the versions of these films.
