Here are the links from Film 2.
Ink - a stopmotion short by Grace, Sarah, Jaclyn, Gabby, and Anusha.
FRUIT PUNch - the oh so wrong short by Dirk, Jason, Arhum, Cole, Ben, and Corbin. This isn't done. We are going to live with it for a while then edit it for pacing sound, and content.
Escap'n - by Andrew, Jeb, and Esmir.
also here is the link for the Escap'n Bloopers - They had a lot of fun/slaps making this.
Left - the spooky short by Jennie, Leah, and Emily.
and finally here is You Can't - the one shot film devised by Luke Jacobs
Thank you all for a creative week of teamwork.

Film 2 Thursday
Good day today. The sun was out even though we were all indoors finishing production, it was still a welcome friend.
All 5 projects went from objects to stories. All of the groups made great moves.
The stop motion people took great leaps.
The spooky hand film went from some cool images to the beginnings of a taut story.
The slap pun group showed how editing can take the shots to exciting filmmaking.
The fruit pun hoard had a blast putting words in their fruits mouths. It is completely ridiculous and often wrong. The might be having more fun than is allowed.
Luke was able to produce his one shot horror film. We have been having good talks about this all week so seeing it produced was good. It was a very good learning experience.
Pizza tomorrow! Go team.

Lots of inside production planned for tomorrow.

Film 1 Links
Here are the links to the Film 1 2015 films.

Very much go team!

We use the lake as a great location for our films.
Both camps use professional supplies to make narrative films.
If you have any questions please call and leave a message on my cell at 214-516-3571.
Or email me at doylesummerfilm@gmail.com

Time to Sign Up! March
The film folks have had a great week at SxSW.
For the seventh year we have more films than any other group at SxSW.
And it is time to sign up for this summer.
There will again be two film classes, called Film 1 and Film 2.
Both classes will break into groups and make short narrative films, but the materials can change between each group. We can make stopmotion films, documentary films, comedies, dramas, and whatever the students' minds can create. The mood was exceptional last year. Many students did both classes. One class they made a comedy live action film and the next week they made a beautiful dramatic stopmotion film.
The dates for Summer '15 are:
Film 1 - June 8-12 and
Film 2 - June 15-19
We meet at our house at 9am until 3pm. We live on White Rock Lake. The setting adds an excellent element to the films.
The cost for each class is $550. The price hasn't changed in seven years, but I bumped it up a bit this year to cover material costs.
Both classes filled up last year again. To reserve a spot just email me at doylesummerfilm@gmail.com or leave a message on my cell phone at 214-516-3571.
Excitement is already high for this summer from students I have talked to.

Time to Sign Up!
We just heard from the SxSW film festival. We have 4 films in. Three other schools have 2, the rest have 1 or zero and we have 4. The other cool deal is that 3 of the 4 were made by alums of this summer class. Pretty cool huh?
So now its time to start planning for Summer '15.

It's Time to Plan - Summer 2015!
Ok, there will be a lot of info here!
We have had a great school year. There were 6 finalist award films at the Austin Film Festival in the student section. Our summer classes made up 3 of the 6, and none of the other 6 were from Texas.
It was a great festival. This was the first time we have sent films to this festival and we will definitely submit again.
So now its time to start planning for Summer '15.
