It's Time to Sign Up!

After great showings of last year's works at the South by Southwest and Dallas International Film Festivals, and the ISAS Arts Festival in Albuquerque it's finally time to start signing up for the 2011 Summer classes! We are going to go with firm dates of June 6th through 10th for the Film class, and June 13th through 17th for the Painting class. I am going to give you all a lot of information now, but please remember this is a blog so you can also learn a lot from scrolling through the blog or clicking on months and years on the right hand side over there to see what we have done the last few years. And of course please feel free to contact me at home 214-327-7636, or at my summer class email at doylesummerfilm@gmail.com. I apologize for being slow in response with some emails and calls but I have been out of town a lot for these festivals, but all of that is done. In both the Film class and the Painting class cases thiese are very unique experiences for the students and I am very excited to be hosting and teaching the classes again. We live on White Rock Lake which makes a great backdrop for the students' films and paintings. The Film class will be from 9 am till 3 pm every day. All your child needs to bring is a lunch. I will have water, tea, and lemonade every day, as well as snacks. We also get pizza on the last Friday. We will be shooting on high end HD cameras and editing in Final Cut Pro software. As the picture above attests, we will be entering our finished films in national film festivals. The cost is $500 for the class. The Painting class will be from 9 am till 1 pm every day. All your child needs to bring is sun wear and sunscreen. We will be painting at the lake and at the Arboretum which is just down from our home. The cost is $500 for the class. The cost includes professional art materials, many of which I will send home with the students at the end of the week. When we get closer to the dates, I will look at families' schedules and potentially add a time for the group to paint later in the day as well. I am asking for half of the cost of the classes to hold a spot. The balance can be paid on the first day of the camp. Your child can bring me a check at school or you can mail it to Corbin Doyle, 9257 Biscayne Blvd., Dallas, TX, 75218. Once again I think this is a great opportunity and I am very excited to do this again in 2011. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
