That's 2025 in the books!

What a ride.   We finished the day with a celebration!  Watching the last films from this week.  It has been a whirlwind and impressive class this year.  The counselors were amazing, and there was an urgency in the students which was inspiring.  The links are below and many of these are works in progress that they will continue to edit.  I hope everyone has a wonderful summer.  Go team!

Second Week Thursday

It was a fast paced day of production today.  Lots and lots of editing too.  Students have three hours Friday to make final edits, export their films, and we'll watch them in Rose Hall as a big group.

 

Second Week Tuesday

We started the day by watching the eight one day, detective films that they produced yesterday.  We talked about how we can be more impactful and grow our skills as storytellers.  They then shared ideas and broke into groups for their larger Tuesday through Friday films.  Today was mainly writing, testing, and preparing.  Tomorrow will be a full day of production.  The mood in the room is good.

Second Week Monday

Another great start.  We did one day films again this Monday.  So meet and greet the new folks, throw out ideas, get fake mustaches, spin the wheel of adjectives, and then make and export films in just a few hours.  We'll watch them in the am in Rose Hall on the big screen and then move directly into productions for our bigger Tuesday through Friday films.  The mood in the room was great today.

What a week!  I was just talking to a counselor and they said "I am so tired."  Yes, everyone should be so tired.  I loved that a group would finish a film, and then grab the cameras to shoot another.  Lots of great notes from counselors after watching each of the films in Rose Hall.  We'll see you next week!

First Week Thursday

 

Everyone should have come home tired and spent today.  We got the last shots for the films, did a lot of editing and decision making.  Friday the students have three hours to get their films in as finished forms as they can.  Then we export and all meet in the great Rose Hall to watch them all on the big screen with big sound.  I know they have all learned from this process and that is our biggest goal.

 

First Week Wednesday

Students should be very tired right now. Production all day.  Some hurdles.  Lost footage, lost cards, lost props.  But great perseverance and all productions progressing well.  Tomorrow is all day editing.  Go team!
